OUR IDEA

EPTATRONIX aims to introduce innovative Internet of Things (IoT) systems to the regional, national, and international market and to prototype solutions resulting from continuous operational research in the academic sphere. The projects developed by the team respond to the needs highlighted by third parties, such as public and private bodies, in order to automate products and processes in different sectors, from industry to crafts, from agriculture to the environment, as well as marine, or operational partners, national and international companies that need “smart-oriented” solutions aimed at optimizing products, processes and resources (not only productive but also human) aimed at improving their socio-economic system.

The design proposals are based on the most innovative technological solutions in the field of industrial sensors, IoT, and Social IoT (SIoT) standards and applications, cloud Networking, telemetry and telematics applications Machine to Machine (M2M), Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) networks , new generation standards and network infrastructures (such as the emerging 5G), highly accurate distributed and synchronized monitoring systems, calibration of distributed sensors.

ABOUT US

The idea of ​​establishing EPTATRONIX was born mainly from the results obtained from the research activities conducted by Roberto Girau on the study and definition of architectures and paradigms for the IoT as well as the design, development, and testing of IoT platforms based on the results of these research activity. IoT platforms are cloud platforms that allow to develop applications capable of communicating with any type of device able to acquire data from the real world (sensors, smartphone, video camera), processing the data collected for specific objectives and providing an interface to manage and display data to the end user.

The strength of this business proposal is the interdisciplinarity of the skills expressed by the founding members of the team, each one with a specific academic and technical-scientific path but capable of strongly integrating with the knowledge and skills of the other members. The skills range from wireless communications and IoT systems to energy distribution systems and information-legal management of information, the latter very current and important especiallyconsidering the protection of personal data.
